Since 1999 Artistic Design Construction has been remodeling homes, building cabinets and custom newel posts, banisters and railings for homeowners in the greater Portland area.

Owner, Paul vonAhlefeld has been a woodworker for over 35 years, developing his skill and craft as an apprentice in the 1970's in a small shop in Sherwood, Oregon. During the 1980's refined his expertise in a high-end cabinet shop in Hawaii for 8 years.

Paul's greatest challenge has been starting Artistic Design Construction, beginning by building cabinets for friends. Today, the company operates out of his shop in Tigard and has grown to supply finish carpentry, easy-to-install newel posts as well as custom cabinets.

At artistic design construction, you get the small shop attention and pride. It makes you feel like you hired the little shop down the street to do your project, and that is exactly what you did.
